LAN Hero Rental Information, Rules, and Policies
Review the terms below before requesting a rental quote. By renting from LAN Hero, you agree to these policies.
1. Rental Eligibility
- Renters must be 18+ or have parental/guardian consent.
- A valid government-issued ID and credit/debit card are required.
- Rentals are available within our service area (specified at checkout).
2. Rental Process
- Quote: Submit a rental request via our website, selecting equipment, duration, and delivery/pickup options.
- Payment: Full payment and a refundable security deposit are due before the rental begins, processed securely.
- Delivery/Pickup: Select delivery or pickup at checkout. Return arrangements are provided at rental end.
3. Rental Periods and Fees
- Durations: Rentals are available for daily, weekly, or monthly periods (minimum 1 day).
- Fees: Vary by equipment, duration, and extras. See your quote for details.
- Late Fees: Late returns incur a fee of 10% of the total rental cost per day.
- Extensions: Request extensions (subject to availability) at least 24 hours before the rental ends.
4. Security Deposit
- A refundable deposit is required (amount in quote).
- Refunded within 5-7 business days after return, if equipment is undamaged.
- Damage or loss costs are deducted from the deposit; excess costs will be billed.
5. Care and Use
- Use equipment per manufacturer guidelines; do not modify or tamper.
- Use only LAN Hero-provided or approved accessories/games.
- Return equipment in original condition (normal wear excepted).
- Keep equipment in a clean, dry, smoke-free environment.
6. Damage, Loss, or Theft
- Report issues immediately to info@lanhero.org.
- Renters are liable for repair or replacement costs (quoted per equipment).
- Event Insurance: All rentals require event insurance, to be arranged by the renter and verified before rental start.
7. Returns
- Return equipment by the rental end date via provided shipping or pickup.
- Equipment is inspected within 48 hours of return; renters are notified of issues.
- Non-returned equipment incurs additional fees or legal action.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancel 48+ hours before start for a full refund (minus $10 fee).
- Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled (if available).
- No refunds for early returns.
9. Prohibited Activities
- No subleasing, commercial use, or unauthorized modifications.
- Equipment must comply with local laws.
10. Data and Privacy
- Renters are responsible for personal data/game saves; back up before return.
- Equipment is wiped after each rental for privacy.

11. Liability
- Use equipment at your own risk; LAN Hero is not liable for injuries or damages.
- Equipment is “as is” with no additional warranties.
